My gaze runs through the surface of the canvas in an effort approaching the new inscription of my friend Zanna. The atmosphere, the new structures, forms and tendencies that she develops define the commencement of a new depiction of her themes, leaving behind the up to now dialectic painting manner that she had adopted.
In the new images of the painter are introduced spontaneous movements, rapidly, randomly resulting, emotional conflicts, all given in an archetype manner. The present time already becomes past time. The grey, dark potted colors render buildings, welcome sparks and tensions of colors, following an unreal dance in a rhythm reminiscent of a childhood age. Butterflies, balloons, kites, figures of acrobats, lead to another place of metaphysical actions.
The apparent expressionistic influences, knife techniques, altered chromatic combinations outline the passing to new stages of active painting development of the artist, promising a dynamic, very interesting sequel. Let us then reap the first fruits.
